Here are some of the types of law that are there at this point of time:
Admiralty law- This is also called Maritime Law and is applicable all over the United States. All the countries have their respective maritime laws and the presence of these laws means that each country will be responsible for their ships which are sailing all over the world. There are different types of disputes that arise in the field of admiralty law and these include all cargo disputes, oil pollution, fishing regulations, international trade, cargo and injury on board as well. There are other related issues which fall within the boundary of admiralty law as well and these are over trade laws, environmental issues, endangered species and freight and passenger liabilities too.
Aviation Law- This law covers all matters in and related to air traffic, in what ever form that might be. This law is in place to regulate air traffic and ensure safety. It concerns any matter to do with aircraft and issues related to it. These laws are enforced by not only the federal governments but also by the state governments.
Bankruptcy Law- This possibly requires no explanation. However. Bankruptcy is a situation where a person or a company declares its inability to pay the debt that has been accumulated and asks for a release or repeal of that debt. There are special courts which handle all cases of bankruptcy and give the verdicts. There are specialty attorneys as well who specialize in bankruptcy cases only. Basically, these laws are made in consideration of these debtors and aim to improve their bad financial condition. That is the basic goal of the federal bankruptcy laws which have been brought into force by the US Congress.
Civil Rights- This is the branch of law concerning the rights and privileges which have been granted by the country to its citizens. There are many rights and many of them are basic human rights which are granted or rather should be granted to all individuals regardless of which country they are in. There are many civil rights that are there and these include freedom from slavery, freedom to vote, freedom of assembly, freedom of the press, freedom of speech and the right to be given fair treatment in public places.
